This week i worked with the grade one and twos. This weeks task was to create a piece of art work for fathers days, the kids had to draw a picture of them self with their dad. For this class i was assisting the art teacher with ideas for the materials to be used and helping the kids when the where stuck with ideas, as well as helping them with framing the work and writing their names on it if needed.
To start with the kids needed to grab a piece of A3 paper white and two long and two short strips of black paper which would be used as the border. The kids would then be using pastels and crayons to create their work, once they had finished their drawing and put their borders on they needed to show Tracey or myself to check it was completed before they where allowed to put a blue wash over the top.
The works turned out really well showing a wide variety in activities which represented their dads, some kids where watching TV with their dad while others where at the park, playing sport, singing or playing xbox.
Next week im going to work in the preps so that should be very interesting
